History

Beginning in 1961, Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, Inc. began serving families and children in Palm Beach County through an array of services and collaborations with other human service agencies.  The Center strives to preserve and strengthen individual and family life through professional, affordable, counseling, early childhood education and vital ancillary services.  

Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County, Inc. is a non-profit social service organization whose goal is to strengthen individuals and families through mental health services and education.  For over fifty years the Center has been expanding its services in order to meet the ever-changing and growing needs of our community.  The Center operates eight programs throughout Palm Beach County and serves more than 5,000 individuals annually.  Our wide-ranging programs include: General Individual, Children and Family Counseling, a Substance Abuse Recovery Program, four home-based parenting programs designed for pregnant moms, new parents, and parents of children from infants through the teenage years, and an Employee Assistance Program,.  In addition, the Center operates the S.A.F.E. Kids Program specializing in treating victims of various forms of abuse and/or violence and is the only Sexual Abuse Treatment Provider in Palm Beach County officially-recognized by the Florida Department of Health. 

The Center is proud to be nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation which ranks the Center among the elite of family service agencies throughout the country.  The Center also has been accredited and received the Certification for Excellence from Non-Profits First.
